This is Allen Doonan's first major solo piece. A stylish space-saving chair with two small desktops,
it was originally designed with the student in mind.

Sycamore And Ash Lounge Table

Table top is 7cm thick.
The table top is made of Sycamore, and it takes a skilled chainsaw operater to cut
a piece of timber like this from a large tree trunk. The legs are made of Ash

Liam saw some Oak pieces left in a skip ready to be dumped.
Not one to see good timber wasted, Liam took it out of the skip and ended up producing this imaginative design. Just goes to show
that one man's garbage is another man's gold.

Originally this piece of Sycamore was similar to the piece used for the Lounge Table you see above,
but the timber cracked in the centre during its drying out period. Never one to waste timber, Liam came up with this
alternative, yet eye catching design. The legs are made of Ash.
